At Waah Studio, we aspire to make art that will excite and astonish the beholder.
Chrissie Kar Wah is a self-taught multi-medium artist from Melbourne who draws inspiration predominately from her faith in Jesus, love of animals, dancing, and the beauty of nature. Kar Wah’s artwork focuses on the concept of movement and form, fashioning her subject matters into the natural textures of her chosen mediums. With her creations and collaborations, Kar Wah hopes to channel awareness, love, fun and excitement.

By the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, we would like to give eternal thanks for His love and many blessings. We are grateful that we have the opportunity to make art here in South Melbourne. We also want to acknowledge and show respect to the Yalukit Willam People of the Nerre nerre minum, Kulin Nations, the Traditional Custodians of this land on which we work and play. We also acknowledge and respect that all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians throughout our country, and their connection to land, water, community and art.
